Maple Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • ½ cup River's Edge maple syrup
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet real chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

    Instructions

    Heat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Beat eggs in small bowl; stir in bananas, syrup, oil and milk. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. (Batter will be lumpy. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

    Bake 60-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

    Makes 18 ½-inch slices. NOTE: For easier slicing, wrap bread and store overnight.
